Shopping for Stationery Stuff

I have a confession to tell. I've been obsessed with stationery stuff since my grade school / elementary years. I am fascinated with stickers, notepads, and gel pens that I somewhat bought them with no reason at all. I don't even use them for school, instead, I use the gel pens then write and doodle nonsense stuff on my pad papers which I developed a little passion to it, or more like a hobby that lead me to collecting them one by one.

I could still remember buying a lot of stickers from some "banketa(s)" (a sidewalk pop-up store), here as well as at my school's bookstore / canteen back in elemetary. I even bought a sticker album to keep them neat and just for display purposes -- for your eyes only. To this day, I still have my sticker albums but some of the stickers' adhesives doesn't stick anymore. 😥

Anyway, I just wanna share today what I bought yesterday at National Bookstore and at SM Stationery section:

Goodies I bought yesterday! :)

My Belle de Jour Power Planner 2016

Hello everyone! New Bella here - I just got my first Belle de Jour Power Planner! Yes. My very first BDJ planner. It's a planner every girl must have! I've been wanting this planner since 2013. Unfortunately, I don't have any access to purchase one because I live in South Luzon, neither through their website because I dunno how to buy online back then. The planners are sold only at select bookstores and online here.

What a lovely planner.

I really want a planner since I'm a college student (graduating now, finally), and I want to jot down notes and important tasks I need to finish at specific time and day. I don't want to procrastinate. I like to be organized as well since I'm burdened with a bunch of projects and other assignments at school. I admit I failed to do my homework because I just forgot it. I don't have any reminders to let me know what to do, except my only trusty sticky notes I paste on to my binder notebook. That's just it.

Christmas Wish List 2015

Christmas
Hello to one of my favorite months of the year - December!

The year is about to end, and people care about giving and receiving gifts. By the way, just to remind you that December is not only the month to just give and receive. You can do that all year 'round! But to some, they have a wish list - a list of things they want or need for (or every) Christmas.

Most girls nowadays for sure wants to receive make-up, clothes, expensive bags, or any luxurious things this season but I'm, heck, not even aware of that. Those aren't my taste. I'm not really materialistic when it comes to people giving me gifts because there are some things I can afford myself even if I'm just a student, "Buying yourself a gift is a reward to yourself.- Me, but I had written a couple of wish list before on my journal and somehow, I was able to buy (mostly) those things I wanted. They are mostly planner stuffs like sticky notes, stickers, washi tapes (and all sorts of decorative tapes), notebooks, notepads, journals, pens, and also, my obsession to music stuff like my Blur and Weezer CD's and other merchandise. It was so cool to own them all, whenever I see something I really want or need, I'm like, "Oh, I have to have that!". Well, I actually check the value of each item if it's worth my money before I buy it. I purchase each one of them with my own savings and I'm happy I'm able to save money and spend on the things I love.

I Customized My Dell Laptop!

Hello there! I'm back, and I truly miss writing a new post here on my blog. Anyway, I'm currently enjoying my semestral break for now, and I'm on my last semester at school, finally! ☺️

Last January this year, my 7-year-old Gateway laptop passed away because my screen wasn't working anymore (lol). The screen needs to be replaced but I don't wanna spend more than P5k+, so I'd rather buy a new one. Well, I was broke during that time and I have to bear with the struggle I had to deal with since I really need my laptop for my school stuff... You know, editing videos using Adobe After Effects, my Software Engineering paper, and a whole lot more last semester 2014-2015.

So, my dad told me he can give me his Dell Inspiron 3520 laptop he got from work. I felt guilty since it was brand new, at the same time, he used it for his work, and he even bought that months ago. When my dad went back to the country, luckily, he gave me his laptop. Shiny black, smooth, and pretty. I love it, and it runs on Windows 8. 💖😍

So, here's my customized laptop, made by yours truly:

My Thoughts on Wayward Pines

Last April 2015, I saw a commercial of a new upcoming series on Fox called 'Wayward Pines'. When I saw its tagline, "Don't try to leave", and one should follow the rules, I know it's something worth watching. So I waited to watch it's premiere last May 14 (or 15th in the Philippines). I got so hooked watching it every Friday night - as soon as I turn on my TV, I changed the channel to Fox and watch it 'til the episode ends. Too bad that it's only a 10-episode series. I know some will ask for a second season, but I keep my hopes high. So far, Wayward Pines is the only American-based TV show that I watched from the first to the last episode.

College Thoughts (Part 1)

College (n): an organized group of people with particular aims, duties, and privileges.
  • Aims......... Check! I aimed to become a good student in school.
  • Duties....... Check! I've complied with duties, and my responsibilities as a student and accomplish whatever my professor asked me to do a task for them or just being able to submit any assignments, library works, seatworks, machine problems, or even research papers.
  • Privileges.... Of course, after graduation! I'm going there.

Movie Soundtracks

Whew. It's been a while since the last time I posted here. I was busy with my internship and went to a lot of sad moments the past week.

Anyway, I would like to share my movie soundtracks. I don't really buy OST's but the only reason I bought them is because I only like one track or two of each OST's. Weird.

Here are my OSTs:
-----------------------------------------------
1. Cruel Intentions: Music from the Original Motion Picture
2. Not Another Teen Movie: Music from the Motion Picture

Modern Life is Rubbish by Blur (1993) Review

Modern Life is Rubbish...

Well, not really rubbish. Anyway, welcome to the second entry (of seven) of my 'The Great Blur Studio Albums Preview'. In case you are wondering why I am doing this, please check out this post: http://bit.ly/1EqE9lK

This was Blur's second studio album released on May 10, 1993. This album perhaps introduced a new style or genre of music in the UK called 'Britpop'. Guitarist Graham Coxon said he doesn't like that word, but let me tell you, it changed music forever. Yes, Britpop isn't dead

The cover art for Modern Life is Rubbish is a Mallard steam train.

Leisure by Blur (1991) Review

Hello everyone! Today is my first entry of my 'The Great Blur Studio Albums Preview'. In case you are wondering why I am doing this, please check out this post: http://bit.ly/1EqE9lK

Leisure (n) - use of free time for enjoyment
*source: Google*

The album cover is same as the US and UK versions. It was said that the album cover was taken from a swimming cap ad from the 40's. Cool right?

The Great Blur Studio Albums Preview

Hello girls and boys, people around the world, and to my fellow Blur fans!

Today, I'll be announcing on my blog that I will post a review of each Blur's studio albums (I have all the seven except 'The Magic Whip') and I decided to review the albums one-by-one.

I've been longing to write a review of each of them ever since I started collection Blur's albums. As much as possible, I'd love to review every Blur item I had, and I find it cool 'cuz I like music from the 90's -- I mean, I think no one would ever review music two decades later nowadays, right?

So stay tuned as I post each of Blur's albums starting off with 'Leisure'. It might take a while to post it but I hope you'll appreciate it! Check this post often as I update the links down below as soon as I finished my posts! Thanks! 😊

Summer Playlist 2015

Summer's about to end (T___T), but worry not! It doesn't end 'cause I'm gonna accompany you with my favorite tracks to play every summer. (Well, not really every summer but most of the time.)

So we're back to my music segment in which I put my Spotify playlist here on my blog. Some of the tracks included in my playlist has a vibrant, 'summery' touch, and the tracks range from the 80's to 2000's. (Yep. I'm not into EDM music. It irritates my ears unless the bass line is oh-so-darn-great.) I hope you'll have a great time listening to my playlist. ^_^

PS: 'Girls and Boys' is the track that is so catchy, you'll love it. And, 'Island in the Sun' and 'Getcha Back' are best to listen to during sunset.

Drawing Masterpiece

3:53 am - Way too early to wake up at a time like this but I can't sleep so that's why. But I thought, instead of trying going back to sleep, 'why not write a blog about one of my favorite drawings I ever drew in my entire life?'. I was into drawing anime style sketches and other stuff since I was in elementary, and it's my somewhat talent. I thank God for making me have this talent as a gift but I don't consider myself an artist - just a casual one. I own a sketchpad in which lots of my drawings are there. I just draw something when I'm bored or if I really want to.

So today, I'd like to share my 'masterpiece'. A portrait of Van from the PlayStation One console (by Square Soft) video game called 'Chrono Cross'. It's my number one favorite game on the classic PS One console because of its story, accompany music or soundtrack, great characters, and rich graphics. I was just simply drawn on how amazing RPG this game was. Indeed. It's one of a kind. Ever.

I drew this back in 2013. At that time, I left it just with plain sketch like this photo below, only pencil sketches can be seen:

Blur: The Great Escape [Special Edition]

Hey everyone, just wanna say that I love Blur so much!
Today, I'll be reviewing and showing you my Blur's 'The Great Escape [Special Edition]'.

The Great Escape [Remastered Special Edition] contents. ^_^

'The Great Escape' was Blur's fourth studio album and was originally released on September 6, 1995. The album's got 15 tracks all written by Mr. Damon Albarn himself, and the music was made by the rest of the band. 'Country House', the album's second track is Blur's first single to be at #1 on the UK Single Charts, beating their rival, the Oasis' 'Roll With It'. It was known as 'The Battle of Britpop'.

Without further do, let's get started! ^_^

'Bit of a Blur: The Autobiography' by Alex James

"I've been longing to have these two books written by my favorite Blur member, Alex James and after months of waiting, they're finally here! Couldn't be more happier."

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I don't really read books. I don't even consider myself as a bookworm, but when I do, I'll make sure the book is somewhat interesting. I have a few books but I never finished reading them. Anyway, I'll be sharing my mini review about my newly purchased book called 'Bit of a Blur: the Autobiography' by Alex James, hoping I'll finish reading this as soon as possible. Alex is my most favorite Blur member, maybe it's because I really love bassist players among the other members of my favorite bands then until now...and that's right, Alex is the bassist. That's probably the reason why I bought this book.

The Decade: 1990 - 1999 Playlist

Hello to the month of April! No April Fool's Day allowed in this blog though.

I'll be sharing one of my saved (and also my one of my favorite) playlist on Spotify, it's called 'The Decade 1990 - 1999' --- later changed to "All Out 90's". I know some tracks, but I haven't heard the rest of them yet - I don't even know some artists. I usually listen to this playlist when I feel like I have to 'throwback' my taste in music... Something I've grown into.

Well, click any of the tracks below to listen! ^_^

Do you like my playlist? There's more to come that I would like to share! And don't forget to follow me! ^_^

EsKWELAhan Planner 2015

When the school season started last year, I needed something that could help me remind things in and outside of school. I admit that I forget to do a lot of assignments and some agendas at school. The calendar or the reminder app on my phone won't even help. Two years ago, this trusty office item called 'sticky notes' is my only companion - it helped me to remind myself the deadlines of my homeworks and etc. at school. I just pasted it on the cover of my notebook binder with the list of tasks I have to finish. It worked. But I want something that's bigger than the sticky notes. Something I could take a look back at my tasks if I missed something or else rather than throwing that piece of sticky note when I'm done.
So I got my own planner before school started. It was the 'Total Girl School Planner 2014-2015'. I liked it a lot (at first) because it's cute, has a lot of functional stickers, and handy. The only thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't have enough spaces to write on. You can only fill the important notes on each line. I even used my journal to write in the remaining tasks for that specific day. It sucked that I have to finish the whole planner to buy a new one for my money's worth, plus I don't like spending a lot for this whole organizing thing.
But I cannot wait any longer. HAHA. It's almost April 2015 peeps, and it's not too late to get a fancy and a cute-looking planner like this one. I'm talking about the EsKWELAhan Planner 2015.

The cover of EsKWELAhan Planner is oh-so-cute!

It's All About Blur [Episode I]

What do you usually think of when you've heard the song called 'Song 2', or better known as 'Woo-Hoo' to some other people? Song 2's guitar riffs really sounded like 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' by Nirvana - a hit 90's grunge band originated from the US. So I thought it was Nirvana. I remember listening to 'Song 2' on TV back in my elementary years (circa 2005-2006) but never get the chance to know who sang that awesome song.

*sucks*

'Song 2' by Blur from their 5th self-titled studio album, 'Blur' (1997).

It's All About Blur [Episode II]

I just started to collect Blur stuff ever since 're-discovering' them last year. Some are expensive but it's worth it because if you're a fan, and when you saw something you like, it's like 'I have to have that!'. They are my current 'prized possessions'.

PS: I wish some record store companies here in the Philippines will sell out Blur's 8th upcoming album, 'The Magic Whip'. I will find a way and I will have 'The Magic Whip'.
*wink, wink*

Drawing Tools

With just a plain paper (or my sketchpad), and a nice, perfectly sharpened No. 2 pencil makes me happy because I'm in love with drawing. I admit that I don't draw nowadays because I don't feel like I have the courage to draw anything I like. I'm kinda lazy too, but I put so much effort when I draw to make it look great. Anyway, let's cut to the chase peeps!

I'd like to share some of the drawing tools I use. Although I rarely use some of them, especially my erasing shield. It also sucked that I accidentally cut my finger *ouch!* while using it. :(
