My MAMBI Happy Planner!

Hello everyone! I'm switching to a new planner!

It's been a long time since I posted something on here. Anyway, today's post is all about planners. Some of you who had been a longtime lurker of my blog may know how much I am obsessed with planners and stationery and I still do! Who doesn't love paper stuff? 😍

So the year of 2016 will be ending soon and that means it's time to shop for a new planner!! I've always want to have an Erin Condren Life Planner and a Filofax or a Kikki-K (with Sew Much Crafting inserts!!!) But heck, they're so expensive. The last 3 planners I had are about less than $12 each, with the first one at about $4 the cheapest. I started using a planner way back in my junior year of college. Using a planner helped me keep track of the activities and projects I had in and outside of school, plus it helped me not to miss any of my deadlines at school. It's an all-in-one system to put down events, and important dates in your life. I am actually a visual person so I prefer to write down everything rather than remembering it on my mind.

Garlic Parmesan Wings Recipe

Hello everyone!

About 2 weeks ago, I was watching some cooking videos on YouTube which has garlic as a main ingredient for it. I don't mind having a bad smell after eating a dish with garlic. Be it fried, or just a garlic seasoning, or garlic flavored snacks... I simply love the strong flavor and smell of garlic. Then, I suddenly saw a video about "Garlic Parmesan Chicken Wings". I craved. So bad. I mean, who doesn't love garlic, cheese, or chicken wings?!

But then last Friday, I saw this video on YouTube courtesy of Yummy PH about 3 Delicious Ways to Make Chicken Wings and one of them features the Garlic Parmesan Chicken Wings using the simplest ingredients -- not to mention that the chicken is fried. That night, I wrote the ingredients on a piece of paper as my shopping list for my next trip at the grocery store.

Trying Out on Polyvore!

Trying Out on Polyvore!
Trying Out on Polyvore! by avengerthea11

Hello everyone! I'm back and ready to blog again!

I have no fashion sense. Well, I may have but I can just only imagine it. I'm a T-shirt, and jeans girl. No dresses - only wear them on rare occasions. I love to wear anything plain and casual whenever I go out of the house. I may look at some cute outfits at stores or when I browse some clothing on the Internet, and think how it'll look like on me if I were wearing those fancy clothes, shoes, and/or accessories, but sometimes they are too much. There are some things that shouldn't be there. Like, "Oh! That shirt should be paired with this or that!", "I have to put a necklace over this plunging neckline tunic.". However, I want to like, create my own style without pressuring myself to be aesthetically perfect - or really good looking, still casual though without trying hard on the styles.

My Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf Experience with BDJ Planner

My CBTL Experience

Hello everyone! :)

One  hot, and sunny afternoon on our way home from the US Embassy, my sister felt so thirsty. Just imagine that more than an hour of traffic along Roxas Boulevard can really beat you like crazy. My sister and I want an iced coffee, so we decided to head out to The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf branch at SLEX, and fortunately, I carried and used my BDJ Perks of a Bella booklet filled with lots of freebies and discount coupons inside my nifty little bag. Gotta stay cool while going back home!

College Thoughts and Graduation (Final)

College Thoughts and Graduation

Hello everyone! And welcome to my final entry of my "College Thoughts" series. I just graduated last April 5. I've now come this far to achieve the goals I need to fulfill in my life. I hope y'all enjoy this. :)

"If you think you can, or think you can't, you're probably right." - Henry Ford

I know I can, so therefore, I'm right. I am heavily influenced by that inspirational quote from Henry Ford. It has been my favorite quote since high school, and bear with it ever since. I was inspired by his hard work and determination to get through the obstacles coming into my life. To the person who told me I'll never make it in college -- I'm sorry, I made it and you're never ever going to keep me down. πŸ‘Š

Hello everyone!!!

I'm so happy to announce that I finally graduated from college last Tuesday, April 5! YAY! I feel so blessed because I finally achieved my parents dream of finishing my school, and stuff. And because of that, my parents gave me a bunch of gifts as tokens of gratitude and with all that hard work for five long years of intense student life. I'm gonna share here the stuff they got for me. Thank you so much, mom and dad!! :)

PS: Two things from here are finally off from my Christmas Wish List 2015!

Planning My Week [#5]

Good day, everyone!

I know I posted this a little late, but it's still not that too late to share my planner spread. There's no specific theme for this week people, but what's more important is that, I wrote all the plans and events I needed to accomplish this week.

I actually decorated the 14th week last Saturday, supposed to be on Friday and post a blog the day after but I can't pretty much do anything because it's Holy Week and I'm devoted to not do anything instead of praying and such stuff. I also stayed at home, didn't watched TV or play on my computer as well.. Just playing with my cats. How fun is that? πŸ˜‰

Planning My Week [#4] - Easter Inspired Theme

Happy Palm Sunday and Holy Week, everyone!

School recap... I fortunately passed all my subjects this semester and I already submitted my terminal clearance, no more studying of lessons or even major exams, and dealing with some professors. Such a great life! I'm practically just waiting for the baccalaureate and graduation practices, and also the actual events now. Thank God, my Lord Jesus Christ! YAY!! <3

Anyway, I'm back again with another "Planning My Week" entry on the 13th week of this year inside my BDJ planner. I'm not really sure what theme I made for this week, but I tried it to look very "Easter-ly". I actually don't have any Easter-inspired decorations like stickers, or washi tapes for my planner.. So, I made a DIY Easter Egg sticker -- instructions to be followed later.

Without further do, let's get started! :)

Planning My Week [#3] - St. Patrick's Day Theme

Hello everyone! Here's my third "Planning With Me" post on the 12th week in my Belle de Jour planner 2016!

Final exams are finally over, YAY! Anyway, this week's theme is inspired by St. Patrick's Day, he is a patron saint from Ireland, whom people from the western countries celebrate his feast every March 17 -- it is a cultural and religious celebration full of the color green, and marks as the day when St. Patrick died.

Okay, so I'm not from the west, but still I influenced mostly western cultures, and food. ☺️

Without further do, let's get started!

tumblr and #studyblr

Stickers courtesy of LINE.

Instead of studying my lectures for my final exams this week, here I am listening to random 90's songs, and writing a bunch of random stuff including lyrics of my favorite songs.

I recently got back to my Tumblr account to dig out some inspiration about life, college, and everything else, then I came across the '#studyblr' trend which has been a thing since last year among Tumblr users, especially students. I've seen some Tumblr users posting about their study lifestyle / habits, posting pictures of their notebooks, desks, handwriting, planners, paper stuff, etc... Awesome! But....

Heck. Why did I just discovered this right now that I'm graduating so soon?

Planning My Week [#2] - Cat and Mouse Theme

Hello everyone, happy month of MARCH!

In this new (and my second) "Plan With Me" blog post, I'll be showing you my plans for the entire 11th week inside my Belle de Jour 2016 planner. Aside from that, this week's theme is "Cat and Mouse", referring to the Mickey Mouse stickers I had and the paws / mice paper tapes for decoration.

Let's get started! :)

Planning My Week - Planning Series [#1]

Hello everyone! Let's do a planning blog post this time. I'm so excited to share my ideas and the steps on how I plan my week.

I've been obsessed with planning way back May of 2014. I have 3 different planners and I'm currently using a Belle de Jour Power Planner 2016. Now I decided to create a new blog series and I'm here to show you how I plan for my week. Let's call this "Planning My Week". I let my creative juices flow and make each page colorful without putting too much details to the eye because when I plan, I plan a lot and I don't like any of my pages filled with stickers, washi tapes, or almost any decorations possible.

The steps of this "How I Plan" blog post is what I do on my own way, you can follow my steps if you want or simply just do whatever method would you like. Like, you can decorate your planner first in advance before writing in your events or planned dates. ❤️

So without further do, let's get started! ;)

Super Bowl 50

I'm a long time fan of the NFL since my freshman - high school days... and I've been a New England Patriots fan every now and then. But first of all, I'd like to congratulate the Denver Broncos for winning the Super Bowl 50. They beat the Carolina Panthers by scoring 24 - 10. The game was so amazing.

I woke up early before 7:00 AM (well, I alarmed at 7), and tuned into Hyper Channel, it is where this year's Super Bowl was televised live with an encore replay at 7:00 PM same day. The last time I watched Super Bowl was the 48th which was back in 2014, and I remember that it was the team of Denver Broncos against the Seattle Seahawks, but sadly, the Broncos lost. I was getting ready for school that day when the game started that I want to skip my first class that morning to watch and to even watch the most awaited "Super Bowl Halftime Show", but I can't at the same time since our TV antenna works crap. Sigh.

The Super Bowl 50's venue is at the Levi's Stadium at San Francisco Bay Area - Santa Clara, CA. The stadium is home to another NFL team, the San Francisco 49ers. And so the Super Bowl started...

DIY: Kiss Cut Stickers

DIY: Kiss Cut Stickers

I love stickers. As a young girl back in my elementary days, I used to buy and collect tons and tons of sticker sheets. From cartoon characters, video game, animé, even WWE superstars, and a whole lot more! I also bought a couple of sticker albums to store my stickers. Unfortunately, I lost one of them and a bunch of sticker sheets. 😞

Years ago, I got a printer and bought some blank sticker sheets because I really want to make my own stickers to put on my notebooks, books, on my other stuff at home or at school. I only cut them using scissors which is time consuming for me especially if the stickers you printed had squiggly lines or in circles or in different shapes. I know it is very tiring as well.

So I have heard of Silhouette, it is an electronic cutting machine. It can cut any kind papers, cardstock, vinyl, fabrics, and any other materials. When I learned it can make stickers, I just need to have it. But in the mean time, I couldn't because it is a little expensive, so I came up and found a way on how I can cut my stickers without using scissors and this DIY blog post is inspired from Ms. Wenda's How to Make Kiss Cut Stickers Without Using a Machine! Check that out! ^_^

Without further do, let's get started!

Pet Peeves

Every one has a pet peeve, or two...or even more than 10, and I'm one of them. A "pet peeve" is a thing or two that annoys you. A "pet peeve" could be only a minor annoyance ---- or maybe turn into a major one if a person can't really take it.

I'm an avid subscriber and a follower of WatchMojo on YouTube and Facebook, and according to them, the number one (on their first Top 10 Pet Peeves), it is when "People who chew loudly or eat with their mouths open". Oh man, I hate it when people do that... When you are in a fast food restaurant, or in a canteen, I hate people when they chew loudly, or when they just complain how good their food is -- loudly. -___-

Check out WatchMojo's first list of Top 10 Pet Peeves below:

Currently [#2] -- 2016

Currently… reading:
  • My own mind on what should I write here. Haha.
Currently… watching:
  • 'WWE Raw' on Fox HD. I love wrestling. I grew up watching John Cena, Kane, The Big Show, and a whole lot more. I just wished some of my attitude era superstars will come back such as Edge, Christian, Trish Stratus, Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio.... to name a few. :)
  • 'Cast Away' on Kix HD. A very great movie starring Tom Hanks who plays as a FedEx executive who must transform himself physically and emotionally to survive a crash landing on a deserted island. The movie will teach you some life lessons, and a whole lot more so I suggest you should check it out. :)
Currently… listening to:
  • 'For the Love of Money' by The O'Jays. Everytime I hear this old, 80's song, it reminds me of Donald Trump. Simply because this was the theme song for his reality TV show called 'The Apprentince', and I used to watch that as well. "You're fired!"
Currently… wanting:
  • A new phone. I can't stand my current Android phone since it sends delayed messages on my Facebook Messenger. Ugh. Makes me so annoyed.
Currently… loving:
  • I currently love decorating my planner with lots of sticky notes, different kinds of tape, stickers, and color coding each tasks.

With love,

Currently… listening to:
  • 'Tubthumping' by Chumbawamba, that infamous song with a strange title by its "I get knocked down, but I get up again. You're never gonna keep me down." lyrics.
Currently… wanting:
  • A 'Q and A a Day - 5 Year Journal'...just because I love my life to be documented and written on a nice, fancy pancy book.
Currently… loving:
  • That it's 2016, and the fact that I only have 3 months of school left! Wee! Goodbye student life, soon! I'm ready to graduate and fulfill all my grandest ambitions after this. <3

College Thoughts (Part 2)

Here I am, back on my second part of my "College Thoughts" series. So the new year started and so does my last second semester of college (coming back from a long Christmas and New Year break on the 5th). Just three long months left and I'm done. Thank you, Lord Jesus Christ!!! Almost done with learning new stuff, listening to my professors' discussions, doing homework, projects or even group projects, etc., and most importantly - thesis. I am enjoying this part of my life. I'm a bit closer to achieve one of my greatest dreams - to finish my studies. I have to make my parents and my loved ones proud of me, so be it.

College rewind and my reflection....
